01 - Modular Character Design

Sure I had heard of modular environments. But it only occurred to me recently that I could incorporate modular character design as well. I know, it's simple to observe instances of all sorts of games doing this, but to me it was an epiphany.

Aspect's story begins in an underground military bunker inhabited mostly by females. And so implementing modularity becomes relatively simple. Since everyone will be wearing a military uniform, my task becomes to model the best I can, the basic uniformed female silhouette and then to apply various forms of hair and accessories (such as hardhat, ascot, straps/bands, etc). I've also modeled a pair of legs so that some women can wear shorts or skirts alongside those who have opted to wear pants.

I have started on this. But I would like to have many more as soon as possible. No need to go overboard with this. But I would like to also have fun. Which means I will probably be making more than what is necessary. Will update this tomorrow with more modular pieces for this military woman.

No heads atm.
